What we believe

Grounded in Scripture. Guided by Christ.

At Christ Life Ministries, our beliefs are rooted in the unchanging truth of God’s Word. We believe the Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith, practice and life. It is not our feelings, opinions or the shifting tides of culture that guide us, but the inspired and sufficient Word of God.

Where Scripture speaks clearly, we follow it without compromise. In areas where the Bible is silent, we seek to apply biblical principles with wisdom, humility and discernment.

What We Believe

Our Christ Life Ministries leadership—including the board, president and other appointed team members—serves as the human conduit for interpreting and applying Scripture within the ministry. All decisions are made under the authority of God’s Word, in submission to Christ and with the aim of advancing the gospel.

We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Old and New Testaments as revealed by God Himself. (Ex. 24:4; 2 Tim. 3:15-17; Rom. 16:25-26; 2 Pet. 1:19-21)

The Bible is absolute in its authority, complete in its revelation, final and without error in its content, and is the sole rule for faith and practice. (Deut. 4:1-2; Ps. 19:7-10; John 17:17; 2 Tim. 3:15-17)

We believe in one God Who is sovereign, almighty, holy, unchanging, and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Mal. 3:6; Mk. 1:9-11; Rom. 11:36; Rev. 4:8)

We believe in a literal six-day creation by the Word of God, as detailed in Genesis 1-2, opposed to other views. (Gen. 1-2; John 1:1-4)
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless perfection, His blood atonement on the cross for the sins of the world, His bodily resurrection, and His current intercessory work at the right hand of the Father in heaven. (Matt. 1:18-23; Rom. 8:34; Col. 1:13-22; 1 Pet. 1:21-24; Heb. 1:8)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust. Those who have been born again will spend eternity in heaven and the unsaved will spend eternity in hell. (1 Cor. 15:35-58; Rev. 20:1-22:13)
Man in his natural state is dead in sins, the enemy of God, alienated from God, and totally incapable of any personal effort for the attainment of salvation. (Gen. 3; Rom. 1-3)
Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. The free gift of eternal life is available to all that look to Christ and trust in His shed blood. (Rom. 4-5; Eph. 2:8-9)
It is each person’s duty to repent and believe the gospel. (Mk. 1:15; James 2:14-26)
Once a person has eternal life he cannot lose it. (Jn. 10:25-30; Rom. 8:31-39)
The Holy Spirit gifts believers in many different ways to edify the body of Christ and glorify God. (Eph. 4:1-16; Rom. 12:3-8; 1 Cor. 12)
The local church is a group of called-out, baptized believers and its purpose is evangelism, edification, and the exaltation of Jesus Christ. (Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 2:41-47)
There are two ordinances in the local church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is for believers only and immersion signifies union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection to newness of life. The Lord’s Supper is a memorial of what He did for us and a reminder that He is coming again. (Matt. 3:13-17; Matt. 28:18-20; 1 Cor. 11:23-29)
We believe that sexual intimacy is a wonderful gift of God that is only to be expressed between a man and a woman within the love and bonds of marriage. Therefore, we believe that any other form of sexual intimacy is both immoral and a perversion of God’s gift. (Gen. 2:18-25; 1 Cor 6:18; 7:2-5; Heb 13:4.)
We believe that human gender is given by God alone and is a biological construct created and determined by God Himself. (Gen. 1:26-27)
That all human life is valuable because life is given and overseen by God. This means that we oppose racism and stand for the sanctity of life, both unborn and born. (Gen. 1:26-27; Psalm 139)
We believe that fellowship with known and vital error is participation in sin. (2 Cor. 6; 2 Timothy 2:15-19)
